It is good to be acknowledged by titles to show off achievements. Leadership at the workplace requires taking charge or ownership of the workforce. Outside of the workplace, most people are addressed by the first names, so being called the same at work gives a familiar feeling to the individual and takes away the formalities that can be done without. Unless in special cases where people would prefer to be called by titles, addressing each other by first names adds in creating a warm and easy atmosphere in an office setting.
